link to the carter 3

The guy who has that website where he uploads songs has the whole thing on there.

I dowloaded it like 3 days ago and have listened to it 100 times probably lol, it's great.

I'll get you the link when I get home if you need it still.

I don't listen to much rap, so I'm not a rap-fiend but I got a hold of the leaked version last week. At first I couldn't stand it. Then I put it on my shuffle and did some yard work. After forcing myself to listen to each track I actually now have a few favorites.

"Tie My Hands" with Robin Thicke is a great song. Good vibe, has some actual material to it.

"Beat Build", "La La" both have nice beats.

"Nothing on Me" - Fabolous finally puts out a good verse. Juelz Santana does a good job. Just glad to hear new material from him in general. Hook is stupid, though.

"Dr. Carter" - interesting. Good lines. Nice take on the hip-hop state atm.

Rest of the cd is alright. I'd probably buy it to support him, and not just to be on the wagon. I'd give it a B- overall. Something I definately can listen to a few times over. Compared to alot of the other garbage being put out by artists' (in every genre) this CD is good. Most other CDs have maybe 2 songs that I like, so for this one to have 5 is doing pretty good.

My $.02.

FWIW, it's predicted to sell over 1 million records its first week. Yikes.

it was posted in the SethPhillifeg thread
in "Dr. Carter" he compares himself to Pac and Biggie. i don't like that at all, but w/e

3 peat is a nice song to ride and beat to. the album was not worth the hype it got though
That's the penalty for hype.

If it wasn't hyped up, I'm willing to be more people would like it. Bottom line is, do you think it's a good album or not? Who cares about hype. Basing your opinion on what others expect is silly.

I liked it. I think the best thing for me is that I'm currently subwoofer-less so I didn't just crank it and try to wake up the neighbors. I actually listened to the material and I think that gave me more of a chance to actually 'listen' to the album.

i wasn't expecting brilliance, for sure. There are some good tracks. But the reason i listen to rap in the first place is the beats. There isn't much on there for me. Just a couple tracks really.
i foresee "3 Peat" being a commercial hit though
so u dont care about lyrics?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

I don't know either but from the name my guess would be a big pile of Jay Z shit.

Worse......Lol Wayne's album. I guess he put a lot into this one. Got decent production, nice guest appearances. But it's Lil Wayne, so I can't really bring myself to listen to it. Just go to your local ghetto gas station and you can get a copy. I wouldn't even risk the feds busting my door down for that.

But I do kinda like Misunderstood

Get the Roots.........Rising Down. You'll feel a lot better about yourself.
