Need opinions on them. Looking to get a 2000. I've heard bad things about em but I'm seeing alot of them with 120k+ miles and I'm looking at one with around 80k miles and I only need to get about 2 years out of it and it's just town driving.

Ive been driving one around all week.

I dunno, its hard to tell. I do know that it shitted on me this weekend with a mysterious dead battery all of a sudden.

But, other than that problem I like driving them. I dont know too much about the problems about them though.

I wouldn't call the LS a boat. About the size of the old BMW 5 series IIRC (hell, the LS looks like the designer just traced an old BMW and messed it up with Lincoln bits).

Had a RWD Blazer in Ohio with no weight in the back. I can manage.

i have had my 2000 ls for about a year and a half now, nothing major has happend...yet (knocks on wood) i love it, got mine with 82k for 11,000...

I've had mine for 5 years now and still love driving it when i get the chance.. Mostly hangs out in the garage for winters and usually drive the old car back and forth to work most times.. I've really haven't had any real big issues with my car I usually do maintenance long before book calls for it but no mechanical problems i guess you wouldn't have with any other car.. wheel bearings, is about all i've replaced on it.. I guess and the valve covers, but seems like all cars have problems depends on i guess the luck of the draw.. I think definately cheaper to maintain then the BMW's by far, with friends complaining to me how many times they've had to take theres in with only 30,000 miles on it. so i guess its an opinion..

Great lookin cars and if you have decent tires and know how to drive RWD isn't bad in the winter.
