lincoln LS any good?

**** well ya im looking for an explorer of envoy, but i was just searching and found the LS 04 with 78k miles for 6900, i figured id offer 6k. but it they really that bad.......

Very unreliable... A friend of mine had a V6 + V8 at different points and just had tons of issues with them. Great looking car and the V8 is pretty quick but garbage build quality.

(see my sig)

A 2004 V8 LS w/78k for $6900? thats a helluva deal if it's in good shape/non-salvage.

The only thing that is common in them is the Coils go bad. They are cheap to replace, can get all 8 coils off ebay for just over 100 bucks. Install them yourself and you're good to go. Other than that one major mechanical issue, not many more.

All gen2s (2003+) coils are covered under factory warranty for 100k miles/10 years. So if they do go out, the dealership has to change them for you. Mine were done under that, but I am now over 100k. If they were to go bad again, I would be able to do it myself though, it is not a difficult job.

Bad ball joints too are somewhat common depending upon how the car has been driven.

I think I know a good amount about them so ask any questions and I'll try to answer.
