limewire dangerous?

so i use limewire to get my music and i have like 11,000 songs. and i hear about ppl getting sued and stuff for using some of these sites to download music, and im wondering if limewire is a dangerous one? they should not be able to sue anyone who uses it because its file sharing for free so if i download a song i am just getting it from someone elses computer and so on.....

well no but i mean so many ppl have it i just never thought it could be me but with all the ppl that are getting sued nowadays i am beginning to worry.

The general consensus is that as long as you do not allow people to upload off of you. The only safe way to share and not get caught is by using a private members system but then again who knows if they will pull all that data off a server someday when RIAA raids them.

It's HIGHLY recommended, to take one of the following precautions:

-If you're on the second story or higher, immediately, and discretely, drop your PC out of the nearest window.

-If you're on the ground level of a home/building, find the nearest tub/sink, fill it with water, and throw your PC into it. You'll get the best results here in a tub, with the computer still plugged in and powered.
