I voted for McCain and am a registered Democrat. But this is where myself and the Republican base part ways. I will never hope for a President to fail.

If Obama fails we all fail. There used to be something sacred about being the President that still demanded respect from all political parties. I had the opportunity to see and shake George W Bush's hand. I wasn't his biggest supporter but I still respected the opportunity just as I would for Barak Obama.

Republican base = fial

i thought it was kinda humorous. him crashing a jet with bush as the co-pilot, could solve alot of problems in one fell swoop. maybe we can seat about 1/2 the congress and senate on it as well. we can start with pelosi, reed, and murtha.

Why did people vote for Bush? Or Clinton? Or Daddy Bush? Or Regan? Why is the reason people voted for Obama such a hot issue? Maybe Ahnold got voted in because he was a movie star. Maybe people just voted for him because they believed in what he was saying.

And I still stand by my statement. Just sit back and wait. Already he is getting criticized about the abortion funding law, but that is a law that is always overturned by the other party.

most republicans don't hope for that. how many liberals talked about george bush dying. it's just ignorant politics from both sides. i remember them pounding newt gingrich in the same way during the clinton years. too bad the gingrich revolution was the reason for clintons succesful tax policy. the american people are so ignorant, that obama actually cited clintons tax policies, as an example of a succesful democrat administration. are you dems really that easily fooled? it was the republican majority in congress that came up with clinton's strategy. but the democrat leaders knew there base was either too stupid, too brainwashed, or really are communist, so they used it anyway, knowing not enough people would remember or look it up.

people voted for bush because of 911 the second time. the first time, his opponent was just an idiot. and florida might have had something to do with it. if people actually believed that BS obama spewed through his campaign, they'll be sorely dissappointed when he does very little of it. as far as abortion goes, i'm not against it personally. i am against some of the types of abortion, such as partial birth abortions. if you look at obama's record on abortion in the illinois state senate, he's very liberal on that issue. some may agree, some don't. i don't really like that he supported abortion even 2 days after birth. if you're too stupid to get one long before that, you shouldn't get one. life threatening issues with birth are another argument.

I do not agree with wide open abortions, government funding of them or removing parental knowledge if a teen goes out and gets an abortion. I do not agree with puting to use 100's of billions of dollars of our money with little or no oversight into where or how it is spent. The infer structure spending is a lie and a fiasco all in one saying it will create 3 million new jobs quickly. Fact of the matter is it will employ maybe 200,000 people to do work at sites over the next 4 years, with alot of that money not changing hands until then.

With how Obama's vetting process has gone on with his cabnet members and the things we find out after he "selects" them really scares me about how he spends money. He claimed he would be strict on who he would pick as his cabnet members and for some odd reason the media found out or already knew about the dirt on most of them before Obama's team did. If he is this "strict" with selecting his people what makes you think he or they will be anymore strict in how they spend money?

I don't understand what conjuring up theories (both liberal and conservative) does for our nation, and ourselves. No one knows how Obama is going to act, it's been a couple of days. To theorize that our country is going to be 10 times worse during Obama's term, while turning America into a Socialist country is kind of absurd. All it is is the freakin media pouring shit into everyone's heads. Hell, people blamed Bush for the gas prices all the time, but he wasn't the person who raised it. Stuff keeps spreading through the media to hate on either party and it's really sickening to hear people buy into the words of these people who get paid money to act like ignorant a-holes.

Lastly, it really says something about the unity of our country when comments like Limbaugh's are made. This country isn't going to the crapper because of Obama, it's going downhill because of all of the media and the crap it is engraving into peoples' minds.

FURTHERMORE, it REALLY pisses me off that people like Limbaugh act like they are saints and act like the LIBERALS ALWAYS bash on Bush, but the conservatives are angels that just speak the truth, and don't talk shit about the liberals. Give me a fuvking break with that shit it's getting so old.
