thankfully i have never been struck by lightning. but that storm was crazy, with big bolts like that every 5-10 seconds. i'm probably lucky i didn't, you know. standing out in a big open field.the second to last one looks like it hit you
a super high speed shutter won't do you anygood if you don't have good reactions!what kind of camera do you use? and what setting?
i use a nikon 2200, on the fireworks display setting. i don't know how it works but that's how i got some of those so bright.
i would really like to get a nice camera w/ a super high speed shutter.
true. every time i try to get some shots i miss the majority of them by a split second. even with a good reaction time the delay in the camera almost screws me over. but every once in a while i'll get a few good shots and that makes it worth it.a super high speed shutter won't do you anygood if you don't have good reactions!
but yes, I think we all wish for some super fancy dSLR.
Common Sense ftwi use my digi cam in 640x480 video mode and just take 1 minute videos until it videotapes a strike
i then plug it into my computer and use virtual dub to save each frame of the video as .jpeg images.
i delete all the images with nothing and save the ones with strikes
no need for lightning quick response doing it that way![]()
