There's a few moments of happiness and inspiration, but the majority of life seems to be mediocrity (at best) constantly interrupted by disappointment and suffering. Even the best lives can expect disease and the frequent death of loved ones. To be sure, I'm not suicidal, I'm not even depressed. I'm just trying to speak objectively about our situation.
