Flashing 360?

I have no idea how this is done... but i heard you can flash or do something to your 360 inside... that you might be banned from live if they catch you or whatever.. but how exactly is this done.. i heard it was a chip that is placed inside... where would i go to get this professionally done?

I think I have a good idea what you are talking about. Its not really something you do like putting a chip in or anything its actually simple. Ive taken apart a few xbox 360's, some for cleaning and a couple to fix the red ring by fixing up the heatsinks better and overheating for a controlled amount of time to let the connections reestablish themselves sort of, it works.

When you take apart an xbox you usually have to remove the dvd-drive. Now, if you turn on the xbox without the dvd-drive connected it will prevent you from connecting to xbox live. This is a known issue that can be avoided by not powering the xbox with the drive disconnected, it shouldn't be plugged in in the first place when you have it all taken apart anyway.
