Lets Talk CRX!! I got something in mind

Thats for sure, and there going for $3000-8000 on ebay, and the cheaper ones are a piece of shit, the one i got needs a lil body work not bad, and the motor slapped back together, the interior is very very good, and the car all in all is in decent shape, and i traded a amp for it!! So im happy!!
u would be suprised. check craigslist. u will find some killer deals in there.

 
O you can find them but not that easy!! And i just found my head lights, tail lights, got the body kit picked out, lowering kit, wheels, now i have to go pick the car up lol, and get busy, hot import nights, in minneapolis, mn is Sept 27th, and i would like to have the car going by then!!

 
my next focus on my crx is like 4 bulk packs of dynamat or whatever its gonna take //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif i got all kinds of wire i will take out of my van to put in it since i only need like 2 runs of pos and 2 runs of neg in it.

 
I didnt read the whole thread, but Id rethink the 17s. I had 17s on mine, and they looked HUGE and rode like shit. Im actually considering putting a new motor in mine so I have some relief from the gas prices...

17s do look big, maybe just 15s on it with a lowering kit, lots of people have 15s on them, i like yours tho, its going to be repainted all black by the way!! black with black wheels, tinted windows black halo headlights, with black altezza tail lights, so it should look sharp when its done!

 
what year crx gets this good gas mileage ima go buy one lmk asap
1988 crx dx, I drive it like a puppy, sometimes I drive it a lil spirited, never less than 42 mpg so far

its true. u just cant have a heavy foot.
Who in their right mind would turbo it and not get on it?

higher intake temperatures+ higher intake pressure= better fuel atomization.

Yes but the whole point of turbo is to be faster, so if you are faster you're likely going to drive faster and harder = lower gas mileage.

 
Mystang, not bad, thats what im looking for is 152s when its done, but i think i want 1 12 or 2 10s or 4 8s behind me on atleast 4kw!!!

I know just what you mean. I've got 2 DD 9512's and 2 Mojo 4kws going in it as soon as I'm done with them in my Civic hatchback.

 
LOL...I just want to get the car done, because i want the exterior done first, I hate having a shitty looking car, some of the CRXs i have seen at comps are loud, but look like ***, and i dont want that, and i hate driving cars that look like shit, but im so confused on what to do, i think 2 10s, and i want matching amps/subs, all one product, so either memphis, AQ, Atomic(even tho im pissed at them right now), Treo(one of my top choices) or maybe DD or RE/Us Amps!!!

 
I am in the same boat as you described with switching my comp vehicle from the Tahoe to the CRX. I found a 91 dx auto for $1000 on craigslist, and with the little bit of tooling around with it I am getting **** near 50 mpg on the highway, as opposed to the Tahoe that is getting a solid 13 mpg. I am seriously considering a swap just for the savings on fuel to the comps. I already have a insane daily driver that will 152-153 on music with the Tahoe and am weighing what results I will get with a CRX comp setup. I am estimating 155+ burp score but it will sound like shit.

Loud CRX vs. Loud and Low Tahoe?

 
I am in the same boat as you described with switching my comp vehicle from the Tahoe to the CRX. I found a 91 dx auto for $1000 on craigslist, and with the little bit of tooling around with it I am getting **** near 50 mpg on the highway, as opposed to the Tahoe that is getting a solid 13 mpg. I am seriously considering a swap just for the savings on fuel to the comps. I already have a insane daily driver that will 152-153 on music with the Tahoe and am weighing what results I will get with a CRX comp setup. Yeah exactly the same boat. The CRX i will have two boxes for spl/daily, but the tahoe is 13mpg, and takes alot more money just to get loud, or do any upgrades to it, and having my kid due December, i dont want to resort to the tahoe for a comp vehicle, since i need it for a familly vehicle also, so the CRX i can put money into make it what i want it, get it loud, and have fun and get good gas mileage with it, even tho i been against the lil cars before because of the fart box reason, but im starting to see the big picture and the price of gas is not going to fall so i rather have the Tahoe just for a nice reliable familly vehicle, and the CRX for my comp/daily driver, and maybe down the road make one loud *** street beater out of the tahoe, if i got the girlfriend something else to i could do so, but my main focus is the CRX for now!

Everyone is feeling the gas pinch. I sold the system in my fullsize Blazer, which was my daily driver, and put a system in my CRX.

It's loud and low, not a burp machine. I have my Civic hatch for that.
