I just finished my sealed sub box, 3.5 cubic feet, for a 4 door truck. I am after SQ here. I have a 1200w mono Kicker amp, 1 ohm stable.

What would ya suggest?

2 10s?

2 12s?

what brand?

I wanna keep the the price of each sub below $175.

I didn't want to sway any one any direction, thats why I didn't wanna post my plans. They could still change based on suggestions I get here.

I planned on going with 2 solo baric L5 subs.

But as you suggested, going with a single sub and porting the box, you can tell there are many directions I could go. I just wanna get a few more suggestions on sub combinations.

dont go with kicker subs if you're after SQ, they are mostly SPL subs. look for some JL 12w6v2's.

Agreed. 175 each you said. I would have bought a mag 12 for around the price range of 2 $175 subs and gone with the ported box. Not to mention it would have worked perfectly with that amp.

yea i gotta tell yah mags are the shit..... but on the other hand i would go with 2 sealed 12w6v1's or v2s if u can find them cheap enough..... the Caraudio.com classifieds are your friend...
