I started a toy drive in 2005 with my wife on another forum and ended up getting about 10,000 in donations total. Me and the wife loaded up the cars 20-30 times and had TFT come to pickup everything and even got to go volunteer helping sort things and helping parents make up packages for the kids.

Too bad Goob would never put forth the effort to do something like that here.. It was great no putting the donations through the 'system' 'red tape' etc so 100% of what was donated was used to buy toys, it also allowed us to go and get things on sale so a lot of things were buy one get one free etc.

As much as we all joke around here you gotta remember there are kids out there who will wake up tomorrow and not have shit under the tree so do your part and donate what you can even if it is $1 it is better than nothing.
