not too much this year.....mostly clothes for the kids. No toys cuz they aren't doing very well in school this year

That's awesome you are teaching your kids like that. That's similar to how I was raised...

for the last few years, since they stopped believing in santa, we give them $300 to spend on kids less fortunate than themselves. We have a place here in town called "samaritan house" where families who have no home stay for awhile, so we sponsered 4 families this year and bought them presents for the kids. They/me get more out of that then they get out of opening their own gifts

thanx man.....nothing makes me feel better than helping people less fortunate then myself. i've been broke before and i know how it feels for my kids not to have much so now that i'm in a better place i try to pay it foward

yeah its also a great accomplishment to watch them grow up properly. i know/seen kids get raised the wrong way, and you cant do anything feel bad for em.

I'm single with no kids, but I love em though. Every year I buy about $100 worth of toys (as many I can get, best bang for the buck) and drop them off at a toys for tots place.
