Build looks great!
Yea when you get a chance, could you check that resin?

Im lookin to order some very soon from US Composites.

How was the stuff you got?
everything was good quality and price was killer. The mat i got from them was real nice also, thick as **** and cheap. Only 20bucks for a roll that was 4" x 80yd, which is 80ft^2

alright did my first trim

and a pic of a dime to give u an idea how thick it is, ~.25" after 3 layer... although i did find a couple thin spots that ill fit later //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Now to wait for my jasper cricle jigs to make my rings

Only real problem I saw so far was that you used too much resin.

The resin has no strength to it. And mat that is to wet is also not as strong as mat that is just wetted out.

You want to just get the mat looking clear.

Order a fiberglass roller. Wet out the mat with the brush and resin, then throw another layer of mat on and roll that with the roller. It will push all the resin and it will save you resin and be stronger.

Other than that, looks like you used some resin that was starting to cure. But good job so far.

would have had a good work weekend had the router i bought not broke like the 3rd time i used it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif FYI stay away from the lower end craftsman router //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

But i did pick up the needed MDF, Resin and a new dewalt router and have a free weekend comin up. Soooo i should be able to get something done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so i shouldnt be fully saturating the mat, like ive been tryin to? Im really picking this up as i go along lol.

also, before you wrap that shape, make sure the edges of your mould are ***-smooth. (like 60grit smooth)

because any little lumps in the edge you trimmed will show and you will have to sand them again. just something i picked up (usually more of a problem with thinner wrapping materials) but hey, just a tip.

looking good so far. keep it tup man.

well ground out a couple of the air bubbles and layed another layer of mat where i need to gettin the leaks. Also cut the pieces for my front baffle cut, all i need to do now is to make my rings and glue em together.

I might have a rough completed box by tonight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
