So, to start off, i have a 2dr 2004 chevrolet blazer and I lack midbass.
4x6 dash slot
6.5 front door slot
6x9 back slot
What i have:
Pioneer deh-p680mp (hoping to upgrade to 880prs soonish)
Polk momo mmc650 (front doors)
Infinity kappa perfect 12.1
infinity reference 611a
Stock 6x9 and 4x6 speakers
HU is powering the speakers (for now)
My idea:
Found a Kicker ZX350.4 on craigslist for $150 and was thinking about maybe getting a Rainbow Component set. I really want to cut holes to mount the tweeter so I was thinking about wiring it up and mounting it in the 4x6 dash slot..?
^how do you think that will sound? I will get a speaker deadening kit to help boost midbass.
Now, assuming i go through and do that, i will have a pair of mmc60's and stock speakers in the rear.. I was thinking about somehow costomizing the slot so i can throw the 6.5 coax in there. Is that possible? If not, then ill trade these speakers for a pair of 6x9, but i really like these speakers and wish not to trade them.
Is this a good idea? This is my first system, so I really have no experience and have no clue whether or not it's a waste of money and will sound like someone taking a shit.
EDIT:
I am open to any other options and ideas
