Less than impressive bass in the supercrew

I just got everything installed in the truck (see sig) and while everything else is great... the sub bass just isn't that impressive.

Right now I have one 12w6v2 sealed in the slightly larger than factory spec box. It is wired to 2 ohms and is getting more than enough power. My amp does 2600+ watts at 2 ohms. The box is directly behind the driver's seat. I tried facing the box in every direction. Best seems to have it face the rear passenger door. Facing up was almost as good.

It used to get seriously loud for a sealed 12 when I had it running off of a 500/1 in the trunk of my mercedes c-class. Now it seems to play fine but it is not loud at all to the ear and my ratshack spl meter only gets to around 120dB's on music. In the trunk car it would play well over 120dB. (I know the meter is not accurate). If I had to guess it sounds 10 to 20 dB less than in the trunk car.

I can easliy drive the sub to overexcursion. So it seems the amp is producing plenty of juice. Kicker 1/0 to the sub amp. 130 amp alt. Yadda yadda yadda.

Any ideas on why this is? Just not the same cabin gain?

check all filters etc, on your amp. overlooking the subsonic filter has messed with my head once or twice.

Thanks for the tips / reminders.

I know all of this stuff but after a few days of tuning and being at a loss (of bass) it helps to have someone logically lay it out for you.

I changed the phase and it helped a little bit. Smoothed out the response and bumped it up a dB.

The real culprit ended up being the level setting on the sub on the 880prs. It either came from the factory at -12 dB or AutoEQ set it to that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif
