It's not the program that's illegal, it's the use of it...

You could file-share original works, and be completely in the clear.

The thing that makes it "legal" in this country is that the artists are still getting paid. And since no company is nice enough to pay them for you....any program used here in the states that is "legal" will require a monthly service fee atleast.

why does it have to be legal?? what is the chance that you are going to get caught...get limewire and turn sharing off so no one can upload off your computer.

Thats what I used to do, but some people i guess have been caught by even doing that. I got scared when I used Kazaa Lite and all that RIAA hipe, so I stoped then I got iTunes and a couple months ago I started to use Bit Torrent, and I just got limewire a month ago. I didnt install Azureus or Limewire on my laptop, so I installed it on this old computer thats in my room too and I just copy what I download to my laptop and turn the computer off when I'm done.
