is this an ok cheap priced amp?... i had a pioneer gm-5000t.. wouldnt push my infinity reference series 1030w sub.... got the legacy and it pounds nice and hard now.. just.. have heard alot of bad things about legacy and was currious.

if it works use it, i use a cheap amp now too and no difference in sq vs the arc audio amp i had

Legacy has incredibly poor build quality and doesn't puch out anywhere near its rated power. A much better buy would have been a profile.

The watt is a watt thing is generally true, but I doubt you have ehard the difference between a tube and solid state amp in any application.

Weird.

That Pioneer is 125x2. 380x1.

The legacy is 50x2 - 160x1.

It's called clipping. Thats why it is louder. Your going to destroy your sub if not the amp first.
