Leaving iPod in a car

Have any of yall had problems with your iPods after leaving them in your cars on hot days. It is has been over 100 degrees everyday this past week so the car gets extremely hot. I didn't know if iPods were able to withstand the heat.

I left mine in my car one time when it was sub zero weather, didn't hurt it just made the screen move slow which was a neat little effect....

But, I wouldn't say it was a good thing to do to it....

Treat your ipod just like you do your normal harddrive.
I usually don't take my harddrive into my car and leave it in incredible heat.

I have and iPod Video, so I wonder if it would act different than the nano because of the screen.

I've had problems with mine freezing on me when left out in the heat for a while. I wouldn't suggest it. The owner's manual suggests that they shouldn't be operated in temperatures of around 92 degrees or higher.

oh, and to answer your question, it takes a sec for it to turn on when it gets really cold out. and it leave it in my boat playing all day in the direct sun at 95+ outside.

There would theoretically be different effects from heat and cold on a video iPod since it has a hard drive, compared to the nano which is flash memory.

Now, on a positive note, I have left mine in freezing weather in MT in -0 f, and 100+ f here in CA. It has so far had no lasting effect onto any of my ipod, screen and hardrive included.
