Leaking Kinetik?

Anyone else have a problem with their Kinetik leaking? I went out tonight to replace the terminals on my HC600 and when I moved it I noticed it was wet and I no longer had carpet underneath it:furious:

I was seriously considering buying a 2400 because the 600 is a little small, but if this is a common problem I'll look into something else along the lines of a yellow top or one of those North Star batteries.

Any input is appreciated. I can take pics of the destruction if anyone cares.

Kinda hard to see on the battery itself. You can see a little of the black from the carpet stuck in the seem of the cap on the upper corner of the cell.

thats a first i seen one leak. when driven hard they swell up (generally means that battery was too small) is it under a yr old? and do you have your reciept or send in your warranty card? i have seen about every common type of battery at least swell up when taxed too hard to so its not like its only common to kinetik. when i worked at kinetik including what UPS did to the batteries and competition vehicles they still had well under a 1% failure rate with having too small of a battery being #1 problem. hc600 is good for 600 watts hc800 for 800 watts.........

Haha, yeah. I had it on a SAZ1500D@.66 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I've never heard of them swelling up. Learn something new everyday I guess. Oh well, lesson learned. 2400 here I come.

I've never ever had problems with my kinetiks swelling up or leaking.

The only one I ever saw leaking was one that looked like UPS played soccer with when it was shipped, probably dropped from 15 feet up or so.

i havent ever seen one leak either but they usually get fat and look like they will pop. when i worked there well over a hundred would go out and maybe 1 a week would come back. its good stuff mines fine and i charge off of it

its acid thats leaking you should take it back to the dealer

Yeah I know what it is. It's well over a year old and that dealer has since stopped carrying Kinetik. Oh well.

There should be a sarcastic smiley that I would've used in my other post about still using it.
