I was driving in today and put this in. I haven't listened to it in a very long time. What a terrificly recorded album!

Just listening to tracks 1-5 (ran out of time) on the PG's makes me want to buy higher end speakers just for cd's like this.

Tool really puts some serious time into the quality of the album (not just the songs, but how they are recorded)

I had never seen this! Thanks for sharing.

I did however, know about the Fibonacci Sequence. That series of numbers is found is so many things, including every ORGANIC LIVING substance. There are many things in mathmatics and music that have such a profound effect on the human mind and body.

I had brought this up one time in thread related to TOOL about how all us audiophiles on here, I believe, are special in a a lot of ways in essence that we somehow understand what one of the facets or meanings of life are just by the fact that we appreciate sound and it's particulars in so many way.

I suggest looking into the study of Cymatics. The science in which sound effects matter.

Will open many doors to the mind and physical relation my friends...

The Grudge. My fave.

These guys do things musically that other bands cannot even attempt to come near to.

Currently I'm rocking Opiate. Wow, what a transition from the new stuff!

I'll never fully understand the meaning of the lyrics, and I'm fine with that. I can still enjoy their music without delving too deep into the complexities. Tho it's fun to hear other people's views and opinions on them.

10,000 days was a total change from the other albums as well. I think they keep evolving and not staying in a nitch.

Although 10,000 days is very strange, I still ended up loving it. I honestly hated it at first and it took me about 5 or 6 listens to really start to appreciate it.

Just a bit of trivia: The song and album "10,000 Days" refers to approximately the amount of time Maynard's mother suffered from the time she had her stroke until death. "Ten thousand days in the fire is long enough, you're going home".

APC>Tool Lawl!!
And this from a die hard Tool fan. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
*ponders*

I can't make the call. I really like them both.

Live Tool OWNS APC. Although last time I saw APC it started with the chic standing on a piano playing the violin. We saw that at the Vets memorial center here in Columbus and we were in the 10th row. Guy that was in the 7th row was walking out holding his ear (which was bleeding). Was very VERY VERY loud.

Thanks for the clarification Pl8er.

And yeah, Tool blows "APC" out of the water. I guess I just look at Perfect Circle as one of Maynard's side projects; Tool will always be the primary focus. Especially when you look at the culmination of artistic aspects of Maynard and the drummer (can't gather his name at the moment).

That said, the first Circle CD had some songs with some silly bass in it. Maybe that was from some of the string instruments? I just remember playing it way back when in my college hooptie and having my mirror fall off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
