Even turning the gain way down? I'm thinking about running the Massive NX5(5 channel) active with the front channels and the NX2 for my rear doors, with the 5th channel the subs obviously.

U can always do that but I don't think it will sound as good...I'm thinking of going active still but idk yt...just gonna run 3 way passive for now

i tried that. didnt work for me (2 tweeters blown) since my rca was ****** up and made a siren noise (where it blew all tweeters i had in my car). but then again, the amp wasnt oscoped

Probably work pretty well... I like the massive amps after seeing how small another members was when I dropped of my 2512

this. i had to play with my h.u eq to get some treble without the xover, but with the xover, eq is on flat and get enought treble i need.

yes, unless your HU has 3 way xover or your amp in capable.
