I'm a huge HP fan too. It's so bad that I have double copies of the first 4 because they are falling apart from being read so many times. Hell I even went to the "Deathly Hallows" costume release party at the local Barnes and Noble.Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone....
I love Harry Potter.. lol, call me crazy... Except that the first three books are more geared towards a younger crowd, so it's not such a great read. (waiting to be flamed???)
You do realize that Thoreau (sp?) could walk to town from his "cabin in the woods" for a hot meal whenever he wanted. Might be a good author, but his "voluntary exile" is grossly over-romanticized.I wanted to get Greenspan's book but I wanted something different.
Plus, I think it is cool to go out and build a cabin in the woods.
If I ever become a multi-millionaire, I have always dreamed of taking a couple months off and see what it's like to be homeless.
I am not into the Harry Potter books, but like the movies.I'm a huge HP fan too. It's so bad that I have double copies of the first 4 because they are falling apart from being read so many times. Hell I even went to the "Deathly Hallows" costume release party at the local Barnes and Noble.
The last book I read was Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. Great book and it's the second time I've read it. I started reading John Milton's Paradise Lost for one of my English classes last semester, but we didn't get to go through the whole thing because of time constraints. So that will most likely be my next read.
I heard it was a good book, might have to read it next. I'm reading the "His Dark Materials" trilogy right now, just finished the Golden Compass and am on like the 4th chapter of The Subtle Knife.Haven't read it in some time, but "enders game" is deffinataly an "interesting" read... Makes more sense the second time through...
Ehh Paradise Lost is a horrible read. I don't recommend it.The last book I read was Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. Great book and it's the second time I've read it.
