Largest Singl 12" Box you Have Seen?

One of my friends had a single Savard 12" in a bandpass enclosure in the 90s. IIRC the external dimensions of the enclosure put it at 9 cubic feet and it barely fit into the trunk of his Chevy Cavalier.

Keep in mind, the box may have been 9 cubes GROSS. For all you know, he could've have like 90 sq. in of port area and to be tuned to whatever he wants it would be super long and take up a shitload of volume in the box. There also might be an extensive amount of bracing and maybe double sided walls on the box which would leave even less net volume for the sub. With all those displacements taken into consideration, that may be only seeing 5 of those 9 total cubes which isn;t all that hard to believe. I was looking at the stats for the Soundstream T5 woofer and they reccomend 2-4 cubes, so for an extremely beefy high excursion 12", I'd believe it.

Just wondering whats the largest box for a 12" you have seen. Because I saw one that is about 9 or 10 cubs and the port prolly was 1 1/2 ft w x 1ft h x 4ft d..........It took the whole back of a 2door tahoe! And the sub that was in it was a big bang 12".

Drrr... I fail at reading, disregard my last post. Well YEAH! Of course it would have to be that big of a box, that port displaces more volume than my box has total, so the total volume would have to be HUGE for the sub to have sufficient volume.
