Hi,
I'm new here and would like to seek for help after weeks of frustration.
English is not my native language, sorry if you find my english a bit bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
So, here's the story. Previously i owned Alpine CDE-9883e and it sounds great. Then i went for "upgrade" with UTE-BT52 for the bluetooth and usb features, and also same connector (just a direct swap HU).
However, I found that the new HU sounds is too bright, lack of lower frequency response (bass + midbass). Tried to adjust the EQ param and set the lower frequencies to full and the higher freq to lowest, still no luck. It does increase the bass, but nowhere compare to my previous HU with default (zero) adjustment. I recheck the the wire, whether there's out-of-phase or not, and it looks OK.
Tried to swap back with my previous HU, and the sound back to normal. Soft treble, enough midbass+bass, gives a nice full around sounds.
Really out of ideas now. UTE-52BT sounds have too much treble, lack of midbass+bass, and gives headache after 30min driving //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Is there any setting I missed here? Appreciate any feedback.
My current system:
Alpine UTE-52BT (previously, Alpine CDE-9883e)
Front: 5.25" JBL + ADS tweeter
Rear: 5.25" Bose
No amp, No subs (well... not yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif )
rgds,
abie
