L7s + P3000.1 = Paperweight???

Also i was wondering would a 15" SI Mag off my 1200w Planet Audio amp get louder than my 2 L7s or should i just get a bigger amp for my 12's?

yep the L7s can handle that amp

that single SI mag 15 will probably not be as loud as 2 L7s but will sound a helluva lot better IMO

I would get a bigger amp for your 2 12L7s... would be cheaper in return as well

i would go with the si mag and the p1500.1
Well if he went with the mag he would run it off his planet audio 1200rms amp. The two choices are upgrading the amp for around $500 which would give him around 3000rms for the 2 L7's, or using that money to buy a Mag 15 and running it with his 1200rms planet audio amp. What should he do?

L7's and 3000w, the answer is clear.
I don't think it is very clear. I was looking at what people were hitting with the L7's and it was mostly in the 140's, even with 4-6 of them and thousands of watts. 2 mag 12's are hitting in the mid 150's, so I would say 1 15 inch mag may be right there. I think they both have a LOT of potential

That is all install dependant. We get a bunch of noobs with this equipment not knowing what theyre doing with it.

Changing subs isnt gonna change anything. It depnds on the install.

Here is one example. And hes running L5s.

Vehicle: 1998 Saturn SL1

Electrical System: Stock

Amplifier(s): 2x MTX 4250D

Subwoofer(s): Kicker S12L5 (x2)

Box: 5.7 cu. ft. tuned to 44 Hz.

Mic: Classic TermLab.net

Song/Tone Played: 48 Hz

db Result: 150.6 dB

I had my time with L5s and L7s, i wouldnt spend the money on a 3k watt amp for them, they just were not clean enough for me. If you dont care about muddyness by all means feed them as much as you can til they blow.

IMO the Mag looks like a better daily setup then the amp and L7s.

Then again im biased to Planet Audio stuff as well.
