L7 SPL numbers

06 L7 12 D4, Cadence ZRS-8 @ 2ohm(like 850 watts), ported 2.75ft3 @ 35hz....139.6 @ dash in a 1995 Jeep Grand cherokee

two 12" L7's in a slot vented box with 1200 watts @1ohm hit 149 db's in my buddys explorer
I find that somewhat hard to believe. Then again, it's possible. Where was the meter and what kind of meter?

To the OP, I have scores for a 15 in my sig.

I second the BS. Probably a Usaci kick score, or on an AC meter

Ive got an L7 10" to do 145+ in my jeep but it didnt last so long after that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

we did a 145 at the dash on my termlab with one L7 12 d2 and FOUR orion 1200d's strapped up lol... we swapped it out for a Solo X 12 and did a 147.x at the dash. The L7 ended up blowing but it did quite well... that same year on the AC190 @ SLAP Nationals the kid did a 148.x with two Am Bass 400.1's and the Solo X 12 iirc //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

*edit, it was a grand cherokee

and thats why even with ALOT of cooling time in between and care, we blew it :-D

the Solo X 12 is still slamming off a 2500d though!

nice to know. thats close to what my combo will be until i figure out which sub im going to use. im using an 06 12" L7 as a temp off of a cadence txa-1000D. gonna only giving it 500 watts tho, since the L7 is a D4 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 500 x 1 @ 2ohm (1000 x 1 @ 1 ohm)

but hell, with an 04 l5 10" off a kicker 600.1 (only getting 300 watts due to very bad elec) i peaked at 134.9 on music in the trunk of a monte carlo. i love my car, its one of the few trunk cars that resonates very well put up high numbers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its possible. my buddy had two 12" L5's (the first line, black cone, 450 wrms) and two directed 600d's in a prefab kicker ported box (the kind with the cardboard circular port) and was doing 143's on music in a hyndai tiburon.

I give my 15 back to back burps with my 2500.1 at 1 ohm:laugh: Who knows what it's seeing after imp. rise, voltage drop and such, but it sure does move a lot.

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.
