L7 ridges on surround?

the surrounds on my L7s look like they have little ridges or striations, kind of a tiger stripe effect. I don't think I've been pushing them to hard, only feeding them 650-675 rms, been played hard for decent lengths of time. Is this normal wear and tear or am I pushing them to hard. You can't feel them, only see them

that's how they are supposed to look lol i think it's to strengthen up the surround, or maybe it's just for dumb looks lol..

on that much power each? no you shouldnt be pushing them too hard. its probably dry rot or something, on those lower end kickers the first thing to go if pushed too hard is the coil

How long have you had them and are your rear windshield/side windows tinted?

Not those ridges, its on the long runs of the surround, subs are only 3 weeks old. Kind of like stretch marks. I was pretty sure I was safe on power as people say they can do more than rms and its good clean power from PDX amps

It's not all about power, over excursion can come from too large of enclosure as well.

20% tint and they stay covered with the cargo cover

Just under 1.5 cubes per, sealed, b4 displacement, specs are .88-2 cubes

whats your box size and tuning? playing below tuning with a large box can cause over excursion and damage them

12's, no I didn't really break them in, I've never really broke in a set of subs, and its on 2 of the 4

Left two, bottom two? Each run on separate amps? All sides of the surround? Trying to narrow down cause here.
