L7 problems.

my L7 is all setup. it has been for a while. it was working fine and, everything. till a dvavy ago when this song that i do play alot started to make a funny sound. it used to make this noise when i put to much power to it. then i adjusted every thing properly and, it was perfectly fine even on this song. till a couple days ago it started doing this. my amp was never touched idk why its doing this. it sounds as if its bottoming out. could it be the dam weather? its decently warm out. i mean nothing was freaking touched.

also, my box is 2.5 cubic feet ported tuned at 35Hz. what do you think would happen if i tuned to about 38Hz? on certain notes i have to turn down the volume, such as high notes. i talked to a kicker tech and, he said that could be why it distorts at high notes because its tuned at 35Hz.

Push down on the cone lightly when it's not powered and see if it's making a scratching noise.

and check your gain on your amp. i use to have the same problems out of my old system. the gain would sometimes move on its own after awhile and i would have to readjust it.

good idea, the amp rack is up against the sub box. obv. it vibrates.
