L7 possible magnet shift how do i unglue spider?

I think the magnet shifted in my l7 and the cone is like rubbing on the inside my voice coil is fine and everything reads normal on DMM but it just gets stuck.

i tried paint thinner to loosen the glue on the spider but it doesnt seem to be working.

any ideas?

same happened to mine.. i just tapped it with a small rubber mallet until it was centered again.. then epoxied the crap out of it.

i took off the magnet cover and my mag split

if i center it back and cover it with JB weld will it hold?

i dont have any sort of epoxy

This is what you do:

Attach a couple wire leads to the terminals.

Then plug those leads into an electrical socket.

The high voltage will force the magnent and coil back into alignment.

Took off mag cover, and mag was split I alligned it and now no more rubbing.

Gonna cover it in epoxy right now

no shit ur coil might unthread from that eating the laqer off it. thats if u did get it down there.
