L7 owners, excursion question...

just curious since iv had my L7's i've noticed they barely move at all ... do they need like 1000+ watts to get moving or there just like that? i've watched some vid's on RoE and they seem the same except for a few special videos

They dont move much. 14mm one way I think. When I had some, they could move decently, but nothing like other woofers I've seen.

They don't move nearly as much as you would see on other subs. You just don't see any square sub move that much at all. But what counts is the do wang. And get insanly loud and sound pretty decent doing it to, Right??

Do what I did and feed it 20hz test tones at full blast in a box tuned to 35hz.. It gets to moving A LOT! It just gradually results in a snapped tinsel lead.. But its fun while it lasts!

pretty much what i did but i was doing 20 hz tones in a box tuned to 45 hz with an amp doing over 1500 watts

true i cant blame it but **** was it fun while i was doing it i wish i could have got it on vid though
