^ LOL.... just get 2 L7's. and get the right amps to power them, my friend actually only had a KickerKX1200.1 running his 2 12"s and it was extremely loud. are u saying you dad said to power your subs with a 4 channel amp?

yea but he wants an amp for the low, the high, and the two subs. i was wondering how many watts do the doors need? and would a kicker 1500 watt be good?

What speakers, and how many are you replacing? If you want 1 amp that does everything, look into a good 5 channel, but doubt anyone makes one that will push 1500 watts to your subs. Id suggest getting 2 seperate amps, either a nice 2 or 4 channel for the door speakrs, and a mono amp for the subs.

stop by some good local shops and listen to what they have. We could steer you in 20 ways to heaven, but only you and your ears can be the judge.

yeah there are many good door speakers you can choose from. focal, jl, kicker, rainbow and many other brands make good ones but a lot of people are content with pioneers, kenwoods, and stuff like that also. i would get a separate amp for the door speakers. there isnt an amp that i know of that will do 3000 watts to one channel, then 50 watts to the other 4. the L7s should be at 750 watts a piece at least. 1500 a piece is a good way to go but you have to get a good amp and tune your amp also.

watch out, a lot of people here are on the "JL HATER" bandwagon

I prefer JL for SQ but the kicker L7's bang with some serious power....

You will need more power for the 2 L7's

so if i got two kicker l7s would i have to go with the kicker door speakers and i was wondering if i got a kicker amp for the subs would i need a kicker amp for the doors?

nope...as long as you power either subs, and doors properly with a good amp, it doesn't all need to be the same manufacture.
