i looked at it but it depends, the aq1200d could very well put out like 1400 watts, i also am looking at some used stuff thats puts out 1500 plus on rms, i was told not to run more than like 1500 1600 watts for daily use on the hdc3's

To the bolded: No they won't (I've two and benched them both)

And I'd run a 2200d per hdc3 daily no doubt (just set gains right). They're designed to handle it

hmmm i didnt think about that, but the only problem is that im on a real tight budget for the amp, i cant go any higher than 250, and suggestions?

The aq1200d is a great amp for the price, just don't expect miracles out of it. It's accurately rated at 1200@1, and it does just that.

I honestly think that's a bit too little for either of the subs your looking at though. The only thing coming to mind at this moment right now would be the RE SX, as they're rated at 1kw, and 12-1400w is perfect for them, and they'll get plenty loud.

hey guys, im stuck on these 3 subs, the 15 inch kicker L7, 15inch FI BL, or the 15 inch AQ HDC3, im looking for something that is more spl and hits those lows good. what do you guys think?

L7 is a great sub but it is nowhere on the BL OR HDC3 level. i personally would say the BL, just my opinion

Dont mean to hijack the thread but my friend is getting two HDC3 12"s for his Z and the box he has is like 1 cuft per chamber.. I said that they would sound better in a larger box but he claims polyfill will fix all problems, i told him "you put a good sub in a bad box and you might as well have a sony in there"

Would they sound decent in 1cuft each with poly in a hatch?

how about a crunch gp3000d-pro?

would that push two hdc3 15's?

I wouldn't run a hdc3 in a sealed enclosure...

And at 1cube/sub you'll have to go sealed, I'd look at some 8's or 10's

HO alt, a battery up front, and at least one in the back, is the minimum I'd feel safe running.

A 2200 per hdc3 would be perfect, and get loud

If you don't wanna compete, or get 'that' loud, you can start off with one 2200 for both hdc's, and then get another or upgrade to a 3000d/aq3500 if you want more. That's what I'd do
