i have shops check over my setting and everything. the L7 since the day i got has been ****ing bottoming out. it was in a small sealed box. now its in a 2.5 cubic foot boxed tuned @ 35 Hz. still does it. how can i test if its working properly? its a dual 4 ohm sub. i can throw a meter on it and get an ohm reading right? were do i put the meter? thanks guys. i want to get to the bottom of this shit.

its the new model. i have to have my gain around 1/2 other wise is very dam quiet. its in a 2.5 cubic foot box tuned at 35Hz. my zx750.1 is a refurb so.......... i mean on my friends amp it does fine. thats an hk1000 from MA audio. it gets louder. my neighbor is the one who told me its bottoming out. what does it sound like, just to make sure.

play a test tone way WAY under your tuning (like 10-20hz) with your subsonic filter off and you'll see the sub move extremely far and hear a cracking sound. thats bottoming out. your sub probably isn't bottoming out playing normal music off that power as long as you have a subsonic filter on.

ran wires from my friends amp to my sub in my truck and, it sounded louder and didnt make the noise. i think my amp is ****ed. its a refurbished one i got on ebay. zx750.1.
