L7 and a DX1000.1??

I have a 10" L7 Kicker 2-4 ohm dual voice coil sub. I know the ZX1000.1 will work on my sub but i have been told that the DX1000.1 wont work except at 1/2 the power 500 watts??

I want to run 1000 to the sub. Will the DX amp work?? And what do I need to run it at? 2-1 ohms??

The DX does it's power at 2 ohms so you need to wire the L7 to 2 ohms. I think you meant that your L7 is a Dual 4 ohm subwoofer, meaning it has (2) 4 ohm coils. If that is the case, you can wire your sub in parallel to achieve a 2 ohm load.

Man skyline. Your fast. Ok, so yes it can be wired at 2 or 4. So the dx will push 1000 at 2-ohms?? OR should I bite the bullet and buy the better ZX??

No, the sub can't be wired at 4.. only 2 or 8. The DX will do 1000(ish) at 2ohms. I have never heard a DX in person but I had a ZX and it did awesome power. More than you will need with that sub.
