who says it needs to be a 2 ohm load I have ran my 1500s at .5

well i dont think this guy has enough electrical to run at .5 much less at 1ohm what all does your electrical consist of and how many zx's running at .5ohm

the ZX1500s will run at 1 ohm I have done it before on 2 L7 10s on a stock electrical system

As far as when i ran my 1500s at .5 I had 4 1500s and 3 Kinetik 2400s

well thats crazy but i dont think my zx1500 could drop down to 1ohm or deff not .5 when i am getting 13volts at idle full tilt now, how low voltage is safe for thse things to play down to

full tilt i had it drop down from 14.4 to 11.9 I wouldnt recommend .5 for daily I used it for Street Beat in Usaci to play music for 30 second but at 1 ohm I can play it all day full tilt on my stock electrical system in my titan at .5 the 1500s are some strong amps I tested them against another strong amp and i couldnt beleive the results i got 4 1500s I burped a 158.4 then took the 1500s out and put 4 RD 3250s in there and only gained .5 from a 158.4 to a 158.9.

**** i want to get my setup measured sometime hopefully it will happen, but before that i am gonna put 8 or 10 guage wire to my subs only got crappy walmart 16 guage to them now, and i am gonna do my pos alt to battery upgrade i did the grounds just not the alt to batt, then gonna make a ground for the back battery in the back along with the ground it has now to the front., both of those things should help my voltage

also i got to send in one of my l7's it has a mechanical noise that drives me insane sounds like something is slapping the sub or something

I can't do 12'' l7s. Not enough room in a single cab truck. My plan is to do two 12'' L5s in a ported box. Il try to get as much air space as possible in the box. If I got the 4 ohms subs... than what amp would be best and sound the best? I also plan to use the current kicker door speakers I have plus get a set of kicker components and run them off a smaller 2 channel kicker amp. So total the system would be:

-two 12'' kicker L5s

-pair of kicker door speakers

-pair of kicker 6'' components in a custom made fiberglass center console. ( sounds strange but it's hard to explain. The console is being made to go from the front dash to the back box. I also plan to put a 7'' monitor in the console for a back-up camera and navigation. ) Basically I just want a system that is both loud and has good quality sound. I'm running two 12'' comps right now on a pioneer amp and that was my first system.

Go with the Zx1500 and as far as the ported box I would do about 3-4 cubes total and I dont know if your doing aeroports put if you are I would do 1 6" to the drivers side woofers all the way to the passenger side

go with 2 12's sealed fi q's if you cant go ported if you go ported why cant u do 2 12's l7's but you can do 12" l5's dont they require the same airspace i havent looked up l5's in forever

Could be his mounting depth you dont need a huge box just do run ported the box I had for 8 10s was 5.5 cubes after displacement ant it played music fine

Its the mounting depth im worried about. My boxes stick out about 8''' from my back wall now but after I put in my viper seats ill be able to gain another 2'' of space behind so I'm going to try to make the box less than 8.5'' deep. It will probably be made from fiberglass and ill put the amps right above the subs. I should be able to get a around 3-4ft airspace total if I put the subs in the box.
