L5 vs L7

I have a single cab dakota but had enough room behind my seats to build a larger box. My question which would be better to run in the truck:

2- 10'' L7 kickers or 2 12'' L5 kickers.

Both are 1200 watt peek.

Also what amp would be best to run these off of? Would a mono kicker ZX Series 1500W RMS Class D Monoblock Amplifier be good ?

weLL l7 - l5 = l2 so l2 is your answer

L5's would be a lot more solid and tighter IMO

What amp would be best to run two 12'' l5s (4 ohms) ? Would a ZX Series 1000W RMS Class D Monoblock Amplifier be good? Or is there a better kicker amp that would power these?

i read this shit too much

id say if you are set on going for the square... get 2 12"L7 get the most power you can get for your small area

or get 3 round 12's or somthing.. and plan to upgrade, most ppl do decide to upgrade no matter how much they say they wont at first lol

I powered 2 L5 10s on a ZX1500.1 with no problems either one would work I would do the 12's more cone area and would get louder on the power your putting on them compared to the L7s

2 12's will be louder since they have more cone area however the 10's will have tighter bass, and get a zx1500.1 to run either setup, if you can go ported, if you can go ported and going sealed and not set on kicker i would look into some Fi Q's, hear they sound good sealed and handle some power

Well I can say I ran my two L5's on my 1500 for a couple of months with no problem. But I could tell you this, they bang but after a while you will start to miss that good SQ. Which is why I got my current set up. But besides that your in a good position either way
