this is like asking, whats the big difference between a Geo Prizm and a Viper besides the price and power....

Is the L7 really louder though with the same amount of power? I mean if you metered a L5 with a 1200 watt amp then swapped out the L5 with a L7 would the L7 put up bigger numbers? I dont really think it would. I know I could be wrong though.

sell you two L5's and get two L7's and you tell us how you still feel about the L5's compared to the L7's. i bet you will be much more satisfied.

if you dont have enough power(over 600 rms per sub), its a waste of money to get L7s imo. L5s are extremely similar, with less power handling.

Ok thanks. I knew L7's are of course louder because of the fact that they take more power, but however, i meant more along the lines of SQ or accuracy. I cant give the L7 what it recommends for power so i had to wonder besides power what I would be missing out on.

This may be a stupid question, but could i possibly just use one voice coil per sub instead of wiring in parallel? Or would that hurt it?
