Kolossus Kable?

So what's the deal with the standard Kolossus Kable? Is Knu just not carrying it anymore? I haven't noticed any more 1/0 in a long time and the 4awg has been fading out for a while now too.

What gives? Are they trying to make it between the expensive stuff and the really cheap stuff? I thought the Kolossus Kable was badass, especailly given it's price

They still have silver 1/0 Kolossus in the Kloseout section. Everything is Fleks now, unless you go to the KLMX line (or whatever they're calling the copper clad aluminum line now).

How do you figure? Kolossus is fine. It is a little stiffer than the Fleks, but it is OFC, and has a high strand count. There's nothing wrong with the Kolossus. If you want to tie the wire into a tight knot, then you don't want it, otherwise it works fine.

Kolossus cable can't be beat for the price. 1/0 Kolossus is going to do the same job as 1/0 Kicker or Stinger...for a much better price. I don't see what makes the wire "crap"? If you want to spend $5-$8/ft, then go ahead, but you don't "have" to. Lastly, OFC DOES mean something. I'd rather have OFC than CCA (taking strand count/size into consideration), but I guess I have no idea what I'm talking about. You guys spend whatever you want on cable. I've used Kicker Hyperflex, Knu Fleks, and Knu Kolossus. They ALL DO THE SAME THING! I'm out..this is a pointless argument.

I've used the Kolossus Kable, Hyperflex, RF wire, and the HPM along with the knu fleks and aside from flexibility I was never able to tell a difference in the way they "performed" or handled their given electrical currents/loads

Definitely good wire there. I had my fried buy some ultraflex 1/0 from there and it was like a wet noodle for sure.
