Look, you all must think I am poor or something b/c I asked if there were any discounts available. I have 2 cars, a boat, a jet ski, an R6, and I live in a $400K house...this is not about being cheap, it is about being a smart buyer.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smash.gif.499e08a4a35ffaf54f4c8194fb8fe8ed.gif And I am certainly not one to boast either, I know there are plenty of people with much more then myself, so that is not my intention in what I said, but don't think I am "cheap" or whatever just because I am looking to get the best price. I didn't buy all that stuff paying full price either.
When I bought this Durango for instance, I negotiated everything over the phone, then I went to the dealership for the first time to look at the care with a cashier's check for $1K less then the lowest price they agreed to on the phone. I drove it, I liked it, so I offered them the cashier's check. Well from what they said, they had never had anyone do that before and were kind of surprised by it. Anyway, I didn't get it for $1k less, but I did get it for $500 less. So was it worth it to offer less? Sure was...
