Klipsch Forte II floorstanding loudspeakers FS, excellent condition

I'm selling my pair of Klipsch Forte II's. I've owned them for about a year, I'm the 2nd owner. They're in excellent cosmetic condition, in light oak finish; they look like they just rolled off the factory floor last week even though they're from the early '90s. No rips or marks in the grills. Operationally 100%, I've never had a problem with them.

I have the original boxes.

Free bump, but how is the quality on these??? Good for a HT setup or just party music???

Hate to say it, but they're looking like they're sold on another forum...

They'd be a good choice for a home theater setup, though. There are crossover mods out there that really improve the midrange performance - stock, there's a hump in the midrange that makes them sound a little too forward and brassy at high volumes, but a couple changes in component values fixes that.

I am seriously considering traveling over 300 miles to buy the forte IIs that Jim J. has for sale. This is a very important purchase for me, so I was wondering what you meant by your comment

"Makes me really wonder what Jim has up his sleeve...."

Should I be worried about buying these speakers? Jim has only owned them for a year and says that he doesn't know their full history. Please respond.

Haven't built them yet, looking like a spring break project...maybe sooner if I can find a killer deal on a pair of Fostex Sigmas...
