yea, as long as you dont have it near a high heat source (sitting close to the headers, or anyhting like that) and arent pulling a massive load from it (which can also cause it to heat up)

The battery is a couple of feet from the header. I guess I should measure to make sure it fits, but I'm pretty sure there's more than enough room.

i have a small deka equal to an hc600 but built way better brand new 50 plus shipping flat rate so
65 shipped

i would get the brand new deka for $65 shipped...

yes that deka is a good choice and a good price. if your only pushing 1000 watts you dont even need a battery man. do the big 3 under the hood and at 100amps output from alt you will be fine with out a battery, but either way that deka for $65 shipped is a good deal. i passed it up about a month ago for a brand new shuriken and after some though i wish i would picked up that deka

yep its built way better than the hc600 and for 65 shipped come on man

it would help under heavy bass condition for sure
