Is this battery powerful enough to use as a main battery.

I have no amps anymore, just my radio and a component set.

And will it be able to start my car with no hiccups in 10-15 degree weather.

Depends on the engine, but they can be used in that application. If you're interested, I have a batt with over twice the ah rating and nearly twice the CCA rating(tested) for $20 less...used, but sitting at 12.85V.

I dont want a big battery. i only have a 75a alt.

I have a yellow top now but it is pointless to have anymore.

i just want something small and on the light side. thanks though.

When discussing if its sufficient to start the car, you need to look at the CCA's. If its comparable to the stock batt, it should be fine.

Im not worried about the cca's etc because it is a little higher.

what im worried about is it being able to hold a charge in the cold and if it will crap out in less then 3 years or so.

basically will it be able to hold up to the abuse of a daily driver that is driven hard.

If they hold up to the cold, in a daily driver, as a secondary batt, then those two things shouldn't cause it trouble as a main batt. The CCA's are what you want to compare.

i think it will work plenty good for you. that isnt very cold, i had one as my main batterie for a year and it was around -40 for 3 months streight. and i have a larger engine. i think it will do you good! now i have it in back next to my amp and a basic batterie for the front. good luck

hc800 weighs 26lbs bro and should use it. the hc600 isnt good enough for a daily starting battery.

if you think 10lbs is gonna make ur car faster it wont...

Smallest I would use is a khc1200. In a daily driver set up as a starting battery you will want extra capacity. As a battery discharges it sulfates and the smaller the batteries capacity the easier it can be discharged and left in a state that an alternator can no longer effectively charge it. Unless you plan on baby sitting a little 18-22 Ah battery with a charger I wouldn't go that small at all.
