If I were to run my car off a kinetik battery underneath the hood, which would be the best to go? I'd want another kinetik battery in the back, and have a nice iraggi alternator as well to supply 3,000 watts of power. Would an HC1400 be enough for under the hood and an HC600 or 800 in the rear with that alternator be enough? I'm running stock alt and an optima yellow top under the hood right now, but a local place said running yellow tops isn't nearly as wise as running a nice kinetik electrical setup.

that place doesnt know what theyre talking about..the optima should be just fine under the hood..

dont get me wrong, kinetik makes great products along with having top notch customer service..but, theres no point in replacing something that will do just as well as the replacement..I own several of both, and i cant say enough about either, both great products.

Will the optima and the HC800 "fight each other for voltage"? I just wanted 2 replica batteries for a more stabilized current.

What would an optima yellow top compare to in terms of the kinetik lineup? An HC800?

weve run optima/kinetik combos for both daily and for shows w/o a problem..i couldnt tell ya what the kinetik equivilent to the normal sized optima..probally a 1800 or something.

I am currently running, and have been for over a year...

A Kinetik HC2400 and an Optima D31 Yellow top, in parallel. (one under the hood and one in the rear...)

I'd say the regular d34 YT is along the lines of the HC1400 or 1800...

Alright because I was debating the HC1400 vs. the HC800
