i definitely wouldn't recommend using the HC600 for a starter battery.

Didn't say to use it as a starter battery i said I hve seen it start cars before. The email i recieved from metra said don't use a SK bt60 under the hood because they don't have cranking power. If they are the same surely would recommend them to start a car LOL

I find that hard to believe that Metra would say that. Hummmmmmmm sounds like a marking gimmick to me seeing that you are a Kinetik rep.

Itnernals are the same but both batteries have different casings

I know you weren't implying that. I was just saying, just in case some might think it's okay/safe/reliable to use it as a starter battery under the hood.

I wouldn't pay more for the kinetik.

Their "team" pricing has gotten ridiculous, to the point where it would be cheaper for me to order one through some buddies at a shop that can get them from wholesale house.

Team pricing has gone up by over $100 last time I checked.

And the price i'm referring to isn't dealer cost, it's wholesale house cost.

Nope, I watch the site and clean it out is all. I worked there in fall 2005 left spring 2006 and I am good friends with Pat is all. I have been friends with him since 1993. Do tell. You cut them both apart and they were identical? They also both had the same electrolyte? Do you have any pics of this experiment?
