Kinda dumb thread but looking for user info

I have room for roughly 4 cuft. Ronal says 4 LD 10s ported will stomp 4 LD 12s sealed. What I would like is a nice clean thread on the pros of using other than LD10s? I would like real world input not what the paper says. Not looking for bashing since most woofers out there are pretty awesome. Just where would a certain woofer do better than a Tantric LD10? its a pretty good choice to be honest. Is that 4 cubic feet gross or 4 cubic feet Net after port, sub, bracing displacement(space they take up subtracted)

So are you asking whats better? Anything could be better, anything could be much worse. What are you even looking for? Better is a subjective term. Is a sunny day better than a rainy day? Depends on the climate and who you ask. Is being 7 foor tall better than being 5'5"? Depends on the person and their interests. I think a single 15 is better. Are you looking for somebody who had a 4 cubic foot box and had 4 ld 10's and then swapped to different sets of 10's and did all of the testing to see which was better? When that guy chimes in he can let you know for sure. Otherwise you are just going to get a bunch of people who arr happy with their brand. Pick your brand, pick your sub and build the box specifically for those subs and you'll be happy.

As stated abpv there isnt a woofer in the same categpry thatll do better or worse. Its all personal choice. Now do 4 massive 10s on massive power of course better but your not talking same category anymore. So theres no real answer here. Pick what you like and catches your eye and end of story.

If by different route you mean single sub? Less wire, less impedance rise, and best of all you dont have to buy 4 subs.

No one knows the tantric subs better then ronal. If he said 4 ld 10s ported was better, i would go with 4 ld 10's. The 12's are going to need a little more room sealed any way, something like 1.25-1.75 each.

That's also two totally different routes sealed vs ported. You probably need to provide more info on what you're going to run and what you're looking for SPL/SQ? How loud do you really need your sound? I think 4 12" Tantrics sealed would be pretty insane I run 2 MD's and it's pretty fkin loud.
