Kidney Stones ****....

I have Medullary Sponge Kidney and I get kidney stones all the time....

I have almost lost my right kidney because of infection and have endured

more pain than I though was possible..it is almost like being Burnt from

the inside

anyways..I have done all the catscans and every so called Remedy

that there is...

the BEST way to dissolve kidney stones is to drink a strong mix

of pure Lemon Extract and water with the ocasional shot glass

of Olive Oil

I go thru big bottle of Lemon every 3-4 days now..I still get them but

they are no where near as big anymore

Lime Juice also works..........the more acidic the better

I'm 22, first got them at 14 or 15, have passed one or 2 a year since then. I am not going to lie, they don't bother me all that much. It is just the pain from the ureter to the bladder for me, then after that I am fine. My brother got one at 15 as well, he had it much worse than mine though, was laying on the floor puking and crying from the pain.

I started to pass one a couple years ago. It was about 5mm x 8mm x?mm. It made its way out of my kidney, throught the ureter but got stuck about 2 inches before my bladder. While I was passing it, it was the most excrutiating pain in my life, until they went in to remove it. 2 months later the urologist performed a ureteroscopy. He went in through my dick-hole, through the urethra, into my bladder, then the 2 inches into my ureter and removed it. I was out for the procedure but when I woke up I had to pee. When I went I doubled over and nearly fell down because of the pain. The next week was pure hell. On a side note, when I was first passing the stone, I was in a drug rehab so they wouldn't even give me any real meds. I was in so much pain I was shaking and the nurse beleived I was faking it. She told me its probably just gas. B****!

Been there, done that, about fell over on the floor in pain when I pissed for the first time.

If you have had them before you might need to get a cat scan. My mom had them 2 times in 5 yrs so they did a cat scan and she had kidney cancer. It was contained in the kidney and she has been cancer free for a yr now. They did remove the kidney and some other stuff near that kidney to make sure it had not spreed. Thank god she had the stones are it probably would have mestisized and potentially killed her.

I had an untrasound at the end of the summer, I have a couple of little stones, but nothing unusual other than that.

I have had a couple in my life and got one in Oct. that was so bad I tried to pass it on my own and fainted lol. Woke up in the er room shit was not funny.

i think they are caused from drinking excessive alcohol...not sure though

There are lots of reasons.... alcohol might predispose one to it, but genetic factors are a huge part of it... hence all the people talking about them in their families.
