i think spl mostly, i heard a l7 15" and it was just all bass, not very hard hits really.

what kind of sound do you expect to get from a sub besides bass? a 15" l7 didnt hit hard??? must have been way underpowered and in a horrible box. yes both the l7 and the orion hcca are generally considered spl subs.

You gotta be crazy to think an l715 doesn't put out bass........ Both the L7 and the HCCA are good subs. The HCCA probably is more rounded and has better SQ than the L7. Overall I would take the HCCA.

oh, you guys took it kind of wrong, i meant like the actual bass hits wernt like accurate, it was loud as a mother though.
