Kicker ZX750.1 problem

I just re-wired my L7 for 2ohms at 750w earlier this morning. It was working for a little bit then the music started to kind of cut out (going to protect mode I assume), so I flipped the switch to off and went to check my knobs. I turned down the gain and went to turn my amp back on. However, now my amp doesn't turn on at all. No green light, no red light, nothing. Did I just blow my amp?

If my amp is done, I guess I need suggestions for a new amp. My budget is tight and I'd like to get at least the same performance the 750 gave me before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I started off with everything at 0, then slowly went up from there. I have a song that plays tones from 60hz down to like 40hz. I did check every connection, unplug it and plug it back in with no luck. I just went to try turn it on again with no luck. The car had been sitting for about an hour after this little incident. So I think it's blown.

The budget is kind of up in the air at the moment. Mainly looking for something that will give me the same power as the 750 did.

The 750 I have is the 06 model. I got a great deal locally on the combo, so I couldn't resist. The 1000.1 is a little expensive for me right now. Perhaps something a little closer to the $200 mark.

Check fuses, and make sure your remote wire is putting out good voltage.

Do you have a Digital MultiMeter? If so, check DC Voltage at the power terminals and remote terminals.

If you don't have a DMM, go buy one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. $5 at harbor freight or $15-20 at walmart/home depot.

Wow, I'm an idiot! The power fuse is blown. Now, if I go get a new fuse, wont it just blow again?
There was something that made the fuse blow. Too much current went through, you need to figure out what happened to make the fuse blow. Replace the fuse and put all your settings on minimum, then begin setting them again correctly. Check your final ohm load how the subs are wired with a DMM on the end of the wires and be sure it is 2.

Also, what size fuse is that? Is it equal to the amp's fuses, higher or lower?

Got the new fuse and everything is running great. Next step is to build my own ported box. I'm not really liking this Kicker vented box.

thanks for the help.
