Kicker ZX700.5 Problems

Hey guys, baught a kicker zx700.5 bout a month ago to replace my 2 memphis amps. Well today while driving and listening to music, it cut out, then came back on, then cut out and didnt come back on....about 40 min later i went to drive again and turned it on and it worked again no problems.....then just 20 min ago i was cleaning out my truck, and checking my grounds etc and everything looked good....played again for like 10 min then cut off and wouldent come back on???

Im lost! all my grounds and connections seem good. i did mess with the head unit yesterday so i wonder if i messed something up behind the HU...

any other thoughts?

this is a refurbished amp, but its my 3rd one from the same company, all 3 with no problems??

also, i was thinking this only started happening after i hooked up a sub...im almost 100% sure i got the sub wired right!

almost 100% sure? you should know exactly what the sub is wired at. use a DMM to make sure. what sub?

its a JBL GTO dual 4 ohm, pos to pos, neg to neg, then to amp! should be at 2ohms...but wouldent the amp just go into protection, not shut off and stay off???

pulled the sub out and made sure it was wired correctly, and it was...im thinking its something to do with the remote wire behind the HU cause yesterday i was hooking up my eq. i think i messed it up somehow! the amp doesnt go into protection, just shuts up and then after sitting a bit turns back on?
