i think they are nicer than the Utopia's -from my Focal experiences

SS comps are very high end-I would def go with them over a Utopia set

Like I've posted before- the Kicker SS components are one of the finest sets

I've had the pleasure to listen to- they got that one right on the money...

Wavering between going all kicker and all soundstream or maybe a mix, don't know yet but I really like the soundstream amps and the kicker subs.. How are soundstream subs anyway??

I owned the SS Rubicon D12SQ and it was a pretty good performer for a high powered SQ sub- I did damage the sub feeding it 1000rms (rated for 600rms) mainly due to the fact that the enclosure was at its limit (1.6 cu/ft) for most efficiency- I belive If I had it in a 0.8cu/ft as its recommended, it would still be fine- waiting for it to get back to me from SS warranty

But when I had a Kicker 600.1 on it , man that sub pounded and it was very musical

The rubicon series is noe replaced by the VanGogh- only heard a 2 10" sealed set up and they are def great SQ subs with a great deal of output

If you are into SPL- the Tarantulas are pretty freggin'sick- my buddy has a single 10" w/ 400rms that would shake every window in your house driving down the street- By far my most favorite SPL sub I've had expenrience with-

I have a soundstream Davinci 10 that will be getting hooked up bt the end of next week and I'll post up how it sounds. It's supposed to be a little more powerful than the tarantula but with better sq.

I might go for all soundstream instead of kicker too.. Like the reviews and people do make them sound like top notch stuff
